Chicago Hotels generally run around $300 a night! BUT, go to www.bookin.com and you will get a good deal. I just stayed at The Palmer House Hilton for $146 a night by booking through them. Or, stay at the YMCA hostel, it is within walking distance,Does anyone know of a cheap hotel in Chicago within walking distance of the House of Blues?
You will not find any hotels in that price range downtown. The least expensive I found was $130 for a nasty single the size of a closet. Even then, it wasn't really near HOB.
