Ok, what is the beast cheap hotel in Memphis? What must I see? going in may, big blues fan.?

Sleep late in the morning and spend time bouncing around all the great music bars on Beale Street. Get a local events paper and/or ask the employees who work at your hotel for some local joints that are off the beaten path too. You can't miss. The music is amazing everywhere, and you'll have a great time.

Be absolutely sure to visit the Stax Museum too. Awesome history in that place. Also visit the Gibson Guitar shop, outside the Memphis Rock and Soul Museum. (My favorite museum was Stax though.) Also get to the Sun Records studio where Elvis recorded. Graceland is a cool stop if you're an Elvis fan too, and a good stop to make to say you went there even if you're not a fan.

One thing to do that is NOT related to the music, but is a laugh and a half, is to go to the lobby of the Peabody Hotel and watch the ducks get off the elevator, walk over to the fountain, and hop in to swim around. 11am and 5pm daily according to the website. It is really funny! Google Peabody Ducks.

Have a great time.
